Fairmont Reveals The Best Time To Revel At Iconic Mountain Resorts

March 20, 2019

BANFF, AB – The secret to enjoying Canada’s most iconic destinations? It’s all in the ‘season’-ing. Today Fairmont Hotels and Resorts in Canada’s Western Mountain Region has revealed its “Secret Season”, detailing the most opportune times to visit these landmark locations – Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper , and Whistler – in order to maximize everything there is to see and do, all while enjoying exceptional value and skipping the crowds.

“Whether it’s scenic drives or secret hikes, indulgent spa treatments or award-winning cuisine, locals have long known spring to be the ideal time to enjoy our favourite activities in the mountains,” stated David Roberts, Regional Vice President of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Canada’s Western Mountain Region. “Now we’re letting you in on our little secret – visiting in March, April, and May allows you to have it all!”

March

Children six year old or younger eat for free at each Fairmont resort in Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, and Whistler, and they also ski for free at Whistler Blackcomb. During the month of March, Fairmont Chateau Whistler offers 50 per cent off a second, connecting room for children under 12 years of age, while both Fairmont Banff Springs and Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge are providing up to 40 per cent savings on four nights or more. For stays of three nights or more, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise provides the option of a free lift pass at all three of Banff National Park’s ski hills or a $100 daily activity credit which can also be applied towards dining.

April

An ideal time for wildlife sightings, April sees winter hibernation end and local bears begin to ‘advance’ from their dens to graze at lower elevations before the summer crowds arrive.

Fairmont’s “Secret Season” ‘advances’ into April with Advance Purchase Offers at all four Fairmont Hotels and Resorts in Canada’s Western Mountain Region. Fairmont Chateau Whistler, Fairmont Banff Springs, and Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge all provide up to 25 per cent off bookings made in advance, while Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise offers up to 15 per cent off advance bookings. American travelers may save an additional 30 per cent due to the US exchange rate.

May

Imagine golfing in the morning and skiing in the afternoon. In Banff and Whistler you can do just that with ski hills staying open until May 20 and May 27 respectively, and Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club and Fairmont Banff Spring Golf Club scheduled to open early May. While the slopes may be closed, the opening of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club is ‘on par’ for an early opening as well with May 4, 2019 being the target day.

Not ready to get into the swing of things? Linger a little longer in luxurious accommodation with Bed and Breakfast offers at Fairmont Chateau WhistlerFairmont Banff SpringsFairmont Chateau Lake Louise, and Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.

Guests can skip the crowds but savour the savings while enjoying everything Fairmont Hotels and Resorts in Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper and Whistler has to offer during its “Secret Season” between March and May 2019.
