Is this your first visit to Lake Louise? Let us show you the ropes. These are the things you don’t want to miss.
First-timer’s guide to the perfect couple’s vacation in Lake Louise:
Arrive and check-in to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Take a light, easy stroll along the Lakeshore trail before you enjoy dinner at Fairview Bar & Restaurant.
Start your day off right with a morning flow yoga class followed by lunch on the patio. Fuel up because this afternoon you’re heading on a horseback trail ride to Lake Agnes Tea House with Brewster!
Fuel your body with breakfast at Fairview Bar & Restaurant because today you’re off on a Mountain Adventure guided hike to beautiful Saddleback Pass. After all of that hard work, wind down with a well-deserved couples massage at The Spa.
Wake up with the birds this morning for your serene Sunrise Canoe experience. Take breakfast to-go from the Chateau Deli and enjoy it al-fresco in the Adirondack chairs outside the Chateau. Hit the open road and head east to take the Banff Gondola up Sulphur Mountain (or hike up to get in some extra steps!). Spend the afternoon exploring the Banff town site, followed by dinner at The Vermillion Room at Fairmont Banff Springs.
Take the guest-only shuttle to Moraine Lake and walk up the famed Rockpile to get the most amazing views of our neighbouring glacier-fed lake.
Are you thinking, “been there, done that?” Don’t worry – we’ve got an itinerary filled with local favourites just for you.
Local legend’s guide to Lake Louise:
Arrive and check-in to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Head down to the boathouse for an evening Canoe experience followed by dinner at Fairview Bar & Restaurant.
Grab lunch to-go from the Chateau Deli. Hop in the car and drive west to hike a best-kept secret, Hoodoo Creek. On the way, don’t miss Emerald Lake, Spiral Tunnels, Takakkaw Falls. You’ll be hungry for dinner at local favourite, Truffle Pigs on the way home.
Take breakfast to-go and enjoy it al-fresco in the Adirondack chairs outside the Chateau as you watch the sunrise over the Bow Valley Mountain Range. Take an easy stroll along the Lakeshore trail (without the crowds!). After your walk, head to The Spa for your relaxing and well-deserved couples massage.
Are you ready for another day of adventure? Rent an e-bike and head down the Bow Valley Parkway to Johnson Canyon. Afterwards, head to Banff for an evening walk around the Fairmont Banff Springs and dinner at The Vermillion Room.
(This summer only, the Bow Valley Parkway (1A highway) is closed to cars! There has never been a better time to bike this scenic route!)
After a big day of adventure, wake up slow with a flow yoga class. Once you’ve got your zen on, take the guest-only shuttle to Moraine Lake. If you’re up for more adventure and a workout hike Wenkchemna Pass! If you can’t feel your legs, head up the Rockpile and call it a day. You earned it!
