MacKenzie Miller – Wellness Facilitators

About, Career, & Passions:

MacKenzie is an internationally recognized yoga instructor who has traveled the world sharing her passion for yoga. Currently she resides in Red Deer, AB where she spends her time with her family outdoors on the farm her husband owns. In 2003 she became a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor beginning her passion for the body and helping people love movement. Around 2006 she found yoga and hasn’t looked back since. She has been teaching yoga for over a decade. Her teaching combines a thorough understanding of alignment and anatomy with the joy of balance and movement.  MacKenzie’s yoga background is with Yoga Medicine by Tiffany Cruikshank where she has completed over 500 hours of training and is working towards her 1000 hour certification.  Her thirst for knowledge is never-ending. She has completed studies across a wide variety of fields including Yoga Tune Up with Jill Miller, Yoga and Compassion in Pain Care with Shelly Prosko, and Self Compassion with Kristen Neff.  What you can expect to experience under MacKenzie’s guidance is movement, meditation, journaling and myofascial release. These tools have had a profound effect on MacKenzie’s life and she looks forward to sharing them with you too.

After becoming a mother 2.5 years ago MacKenzie’s primary focus shifted towards teaching practices that help down-regulate the nervous system. These tools include: myofascial release, meditation, journaling and breath work. Her goal is to create space for you to feel safe to explore the inner depths of your body and mind and alleviate any pain and suffering possible. After studying with MacKenzie you’ll have built a stronger relationship with yourself in hopes to empower you to take charge of your mental and physical health in your daily life. 

Education & Training:

Certified in alignment-based Hatha, Vinyasa, Yoga Nidra and Kundalini yoga
