“Stube” is German for pub, brew house or a cozy alpen living room, and this establishment pays homage to Lake Louise’s European mountaineering and guiding past with hearty, creative twists on Swiss- and German favorites like jaeger forest mushroom spaetzle, onion soup, braised rabbit and bratwurst.
Friendly and intimate, with lots of dark wood and big views, Walliser Stube feels much like an upscale pub nestled in the alps. Order a bottle of wine from our impressive floor-to-ceiling library of 500 vintages or sample the Alpine-style small-batch beers. Critics call the deliciously gooey traditional cheese fondue the best outside Switzerland. For dessert, indulge in the chocolate fondue made from dark or milk Toblerone with fresh fruit for dipping.
