Mixologist Biography: Sam Clark

Sam Clark began his career on the New Zealand hospitality scene working for a merchant of fine Burgundy & Bordeaux wines, before falling in love with cocktails and spending his time traveling throughout Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United Kingdom, gaining experience in high-end cocktail establishments including Sofitel Luxury Hotels. Expanding his experience, he relocated to Vancouver where he managed the beverage program at the Michelin Guide-recommended PiDGiN restaurant, before continuing his international adventure in Scotland, where he worked at the historic Glenkinchie Distillery.

In his current role as Regional Manager of Bars and Mixology at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise & Fairmont Banff Springs, Sam oversees creative and strategic beverage operations at both iconic resorts including The Fairview Bar, The Lakeview Lounge & Patio, Alpine Social, Louiza, and large-scale events.

In 2022, Sam was listed on the Kostuch Media Top-30-Under-30 list in Canadian Hospitality, as well as placing in the Top-3 nationally at World Class Canada, namely one of world’s most difficult and prestigious cocktail competitions.

With an avid passion for Food & Beverage, Sam spends his time seeking out new bars and restaurants to discover new flavours and techniques he can bring to his cocktail creations.
